Hubei Polytechnic University (HBPU) is a multi-disciplinary university having 8 faculties in medicine, engineering, natural science, economics, management, literature, education and arts. Leaning against a hill and facing a big lake, HBPU covers an area of 145 hectares (2189 mu) with a total construction area of more than 545,000 ㎡ with picturesque environment. It is located in Huangshi City (50 Km away from Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province). Hubei province—the“Cradle of the Bronze Culture of China”.
HBPU has 20 Colleges and Departments with more than 20,000 full-time and 8,000- part-time students and 969 faculty members. There are 50 laboratories with RMB138 million worth of facilities in support of academic and research activities on campus. Its library has an extensive collection of more than 1 million volumes and 18 e-book databases (including 2 million e-books).

Medical college of Hubei Polytechnic University has history of 88 Years. It was formed by merger of Hubei provincial health school (founded in 1927) and medical department of Huangshi College of higher education (founded in 1958).
Medical College has four departments, offering five Undergraduate and Six-Vocational programs. At present, it has more then 1600 students and staff of 66 people, among them 8 professors, 40 associate professors.
Medical College has one General Hospital, Two Affiliated Hospitals and 20 Teaching Hospitals.
Huangshi Central Hospital 3 A-level hospitals, having history of more then 100 Years, consists of 78 clinical medical departments and 2000 Beds. Hospital has existing staff of 2556 peoples.
Daye People’s Hospital, founded in 1946, a 19 floor Hospital, consists of 38 clinical medical departments and 1470 Beds. Hospital has existing staff of 954 peoples

Well-appointed hostels with fully furnished Air-conditioned rooms made for international students. Rooms are furnished with beds, TV, study tables, internet access, and air conditioning
The hostels are given good protection by security agencies and police booths in the University
Halal Food is available. Muslim hotels are available in front of CSMU main gate. Students can choose to take their Halal meals at the muslim canteen in CSMU. For international students, breakfast, lunch, supper and all kinds of snacks are available at very reasonable cost.
